FAQ’S

✴︎

HOW DO I BOOK YOU?

Please get in touch using my Booking Form to discuss all of your wedding requirements and to see if I am available on your wedding date. Please fill in with as much detail as possible so I can get back to you with all the relevant information.

Your bespoke quote is then sent to you based on your requirements and if you are happy to proceed then a booking fee and a signed contract is required to secure your date.

CAN I PAY MY BOOKING FEE AFTER I’VE HAD MY TRIAL?

Due to demand trials are only offered once the booking fee has been paid. I’m always more than happy to organise a phone or video call before you secure your date so that we can chat through your ideas and for you to see if you think I am the right makeup artist for you.

HOW MUCH IS THE BOOKING FEE?

The booking fee is £200. This amount is deducted from your final balance. The booking fee is non-refundable.

WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY TRIAL?

Whatever your preference is! I feel the ideal time is 6-12 weeks before your wedding day, as by this time you usually have your dress and a clear idea of how you want your wedding to look. (Please note this can vary due to availability.) However if you prefer to have it sooner we can arrange for that to happen. Or in the case of a last minute booking I will do my best to fit you in.

DO I NEED TO HAVE A TRIAL?

I would absolutely recommend every bride having a trial. It is a chance not only for us to get to know each other but also for me to understand your makeup vision, the opportunity to see what it actually looks like and to perfect your look. If there are any necessary tweaks to be made we can adjust until you are completely happy so you can relax knowing that you don’t have to worry on your wedding day. Only on rare circumstances will I book a wedding without a trial pre agreed, this will be at my discretion.

WHAT IF MY MUM WOULD LIKE A TRIAL?

Trials for bridesmaids and mother of the brides are not essential, but absolutely can be arranged if this is something your bridal party would like. A group trial can be a really lovely treat in the lead up to your wedding day. If this is something you are interested in, please let me know! All trials are conducted at my studio based in Frome.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

If you would really like me to be your makeup artist to create your bridal look on your wedding day then please get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. I tend to have bookings two to three years in advance so it is never too early to get in touch.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TRIAL?

Please feel free to gather any images of makeup styles that you like the look of, I would love to see them! Pinterest and Instagram are both great sources for inspiration. I recommend that you look out for styles of women that have a similar skin tone and hair colour to yourself. Be sure to bring a picture of your dress to the trial and any other inspirational images that could potentially tie in with your makeup. Once your trial date has been booked and confirmed, I will email you my Bridal prep guide, which I have created to ensure you get the best out of your time at your trial. This provides you with everything you need to know about the next stages leading up to your wedding, tips on how to gather inspiration for your bridal look, and skin care routine suggestions.

WHERE WILL MY TRIAL BE HELD?

All trials are to be carried out at my makeup studio based in Frome. Trials are held week days during the daytime.

HOW LONG WILL MY TRIAL TAKE?

Trials generally take around 2 hours.

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?

I am willing to travel for your big day, although please bear in mind any venue or destination that is over 2hrs travel time from my post code I will require overnight accommodation the night before and the cost will be applied to the final balance. Also depending on the distance there may be a minimum booking of people or minimum spend involved that excludes travel costs.

DO YOU TAKE LARGE BOOKINGS?

When bridal party numbers are high (approximately 6+) or timing is restricted due to early ceremony time; an assistant or second artist may be required. I will source another artist that will be of a similar high skill set, fully insured and experienced in bridal makeup. Please note a fee is charged to source and secure a second artist.

I ONLY HAVE A SMALL WEDDING PARTY, CAN I STILL BOOK YOU?

Due to popular demand for peak dates I have a minimum booking of The bride (including trial) + 2 bridal party members (this is excluding travel costs) You can however still book me for a smaller bridal party but at the same minimum cost.
